Vegan Milk

I eat oatmeal for breakfast every day, so it was important to me to find a good substitute for milk.  The best one for me is almond milk that I make myself.  I use 1 cup of almonds, soaked overnight and drained, and 4 cups of cold water.  Put it in the blender until it's small chunks, then pour it through a cheesecloth - lined sieve into a bowl.  With the nut pieces in the cheese cloth, squeeze the milk out of them into the bowl.  Some people add vanilla and sugar and agave nectar, but I prefer it plain.  This milk is not thick like the Silk almond milk from the store.  Tip:  don't ever try to double the recipe unless your blender is a lot bigger than mine.
